WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our Doctrine
1. That the Holy Scriptures, as given by God, are divinely inspired, infallible (entirely trustworthy), and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice.
2. In one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit
3. In our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles and atoning death.
4. In the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, in His personal return, and the judgment of the world by Him.
5. That all have sinned and are justly exposed to the judgment of God.
6. That redemption from the guilt penalty, and power of sin, is possible only through the death and shed blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That Jesus descended into hell as our substitute for three days and nights and rose the third day according to the scriptures. Jesus is our atonement for our spirit, soul, and body because of the price He paid in His spirit, soul, and body.
7. In the necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death, burial, suffering and resurrection of Jesus Christ effective to the individual sinner, granting him repentance towards God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, enabling him to become a new creature in Christ Jesus and therefore having Christ living in him as his only and true life and thus God living through the individual believer in holiness, power and witness. In the present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, who bestows spiritual gifts - the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, various kinds of tongues - in and among believers on earth since the day of Pentecost and continuing until our Lord's return. That we, in the person of Christ Jesus, are dead, buried, raised and seated in heavenly places in Him resulting in our becoming one spirit through that union. As a result of this union, Christ has now become our life.
8. In all the manifestations of God's Spirit, as He wills, in all gifts, offices, revelation and power for the good of man and maturity of the believer unto the glory of God Himself.
9. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is subsequent to the New Birth, and the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance and the infusion of power. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4, 8; Acts 2:4)
10. Divine healing and deliverance from sickness and disease is provided for all in the atonement and is a privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:16,17)
11. In the resurrection of the body, the eternal blessedness of the righteous, and the eternal punishment of the wicked.
12. That every believer is baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit.
13. That it is the privilege of every born-again believer to experience constant intimacy and communion with their Lord and Creator on a personal level though stillness and quietness, and through a spiritual understanding of the finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ.
14. Partaking often of the communion elements of bread and wine (symbolizing body and blood of Jesus Christ) when properly discerned brings us into remembrance of Jesus Christ and His atoning and finished work resulting in our spiritual renewing, mental healing, and physical healing.
