Greetings prospective student!
I want to personally thank you for your interest in Deeper Life University.
Please allow me to share with you what is on my heart.
My ancestors were pioneers in Pentecost at the turn of the last century. My great grandmother Herring and my beloved grandmother Mattie Herring Chestnut were some of the first Christian believers in the southern part of the United States who were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke with tongues. As the Spirit of God swept through this part of the world, miracles, signs and wonders, and deliverance from demons, sickness, sin, and death became commonplace among this small group of Pentecostal believers. They were forerunners of the modern day Assembly of God and Church of God denominations.
Now, one hundred years later, the Lord is raising up a new remnant in the earth. This remnant bears the mark of the centrality of Jesus Christ in all things. The blood and death of Jesus, the fullness of the Spirit of God, and the infallible scriptures are all cornerstones of this emerging foundation.
The word "pioneer" is rather interesting. The Lord spoke to me to look it up in Webster's dictionary. It means "a person or group that originates or helps open up a new line of thought or activity or a new method or technical development; one of the first to settle in a territory."
I have searched through the Internet and visited web sites of Bible colleges, theological seminaries and universities. To my amazement I found very little inward Christian life emphasis in most of the offered curriculum. There were also many new age schools out there who claimed they had the "enlightenment", but were void of the blood, deity, and supreme lordship of Jesus Christ!
There is a way to stay true to the scriptures and yet have an inward grasp of the person and finished work of Jesus Christ and an intimate knowledge and relationship with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit at the same time!
This is why I believe the Lord has raised up Deeper Life University.
Deeper Life University is on the cutting edge of educating the body of Christ in the deeper things of Christ.
Our uniqueness is the development and nurturing of the foundation of our inner life we have in Christ. We have come into a time in our history which warrants an advancement in the deeper things of our Lord.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:9-10,
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."
There is a deeper realm in Christ which is available to us exclusively through the blood of Christ Jesus. Hebrews Chapter Six says,
"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit."
We are headed into perfection. That perfection is the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Deeper Life University's purpose is that of equipping and encouraging spiritual advancement in the deeper realms of our heavenly Father. Deeper Life University now offers over 70 courses and 6 diploma programs of deeper Christian life concentration- communion with God, the cross of Christ, union and intimacy with God. We have students across the globe who are coming to know Him on a deeply intimate level.
